This Friday (1st Feb) we welcome the man himself DOMU up to Glasgow for an intimate bar-gig at our local drinking-hole IVY. Dom doesn't really need any introduction, after countless years producing top-drawer beats from hip-hop, nu-jazz, and house right through to rollin' DnB bombs.
He rocked the club section of IVY this time last year (live recording below), so we're looking forward to hearing another side of him behind the decks this time. His own recording imprint TrebleO has just released one of my favourite tunes for a long while too - Dorian Concept's amazing "Fort Teen". Check out a low-quality edit of it below, and get yourself over to the TrebleO Store for a proper copy.
Roll on Friday!

Fatback Track
Linking in with Harri's new edit CD for L.E.S.S. Productions, here's a rework I did with him a while back that hasn't seen the light of day yet. It's our version of the classic Fatback Band track, "Yum Yum (Gimme Some)". Twisted and rinsed with a bit of beef for the subs. (Limited to 100 downloads)

LESS004 : DJ Harri Lost Edits
Part 4 in our low profile series is an honour to present. This isn't getting a physical mailout until next week, so this is a bit of an exclusive for you. A fine selection of vintage edits courtesy of DJ Harri (Sub Club) tweaked, extended and volumized for DJ use, there is something for all bags / hard drives here. I've personally been playing these out for a good few months and I'm sure you will be too. Formed as a way to introduce small quantities of re-edits and reworkings to DJs directly this series is strictly limited to only 100 individually numbered copies for promotional use on vinyl-style CD single. Last remaining copies are available on high resolution physical format from Five20East's online store. Here's some 128kbp action for the 2 week test.
Herb Alpert - Rotation (DJ Harri Edit)
V.I.P. Connection - West Coast Drive (DJ Harri Edit)
Steve Miller Band - Macho City (DJ Harri Edit)
Johnson Products - Johnson Jumpin' (DJ Harri Dark Disco Edit)
The Chequers - Stand Up For Your Rights (DJ Harri Edit)

Gotta Get Up To It
These days I'm getting a bit fidgeted out with all the Switch-sounding house stuff coming out over the last few months, especially as there's so much that individual tunes don't really stand out any more. Its for this reason that I've been going back to the slightly older stuff such as the early Counterfeet and Dubsided releases more and more. One of my top Fidget tracks has got to be Solid Groove & Sinden's "Gotta Get Up", so I gave it a quick once over to present to the loyal OOFT bloggers. Here ya go...

ChakakchakachakachakachakaKhan
Well it's high time to get back to normality after the ever-hectic xmas period, so here's a simple bread and butter edit of Chaka's funk-tastic 80's gem "I Know You I Live You". Extended and tempo'd for your mixing pleasure as always. 14 days and counting...

PS Our last DJ Mix (a couple of posts ago) has been re-uploaded via divshare and is available for download here.

Celebrate Another Year Of Living
Happy New Year from all at Wally World! It's been a while, but trust us, we've got so much material that is soooo close to being finished that we're dying to post for you but you may have to hold out just a little longer. Rest assured, there's some belters on the way. :)
In the meantime, I've dug this out as I've been using it as a great little DJ edit tool recently. A favourite of mine from probably one of the few (maybe only?) white soul-rock bands on Motown. I've edited it to start at 95bpm and then cuts to 107bpm in the break to get you on the horse for the rest of the evening.
