The E.A.R. Records boss-man steps up to the plate with a serious selection of pitch-down goodness.

Having collected music since the late 80's, J.Cub has recently poured all his efforts into the new label Eclectic Avenue Records, with the aim of releasing small batches of quality, timeless tracks. The first few releases have all been winners over at OOFT! towers so keep an eye out for special releases over 2011. The mix itself swings on a low tempo, taking in tracks from LTJ Experience, Johnwaynes, Soul Renegades, Ron Basejam and more.

RJA34 : Mike Callander

We travel to the other side of the world for our next episode with a hot mix from Oz jock Mike Callander.

Mike has been a Melbourne favourite since launching the Fokus techno club in 2001. A decade later, he has played across the world from Berlin to Malaysia to Los Angeles, and has supported just about every established techno DJ to visit Australia. Not to mention holding down several key residencies in his home town too. The mix itself is a driving deep house selection recorded live at the notorious Revolver Club in Melbourne.

RJA33 : Mash

One of Scotlands best-known Jocks provides some house action on this weeks mix.

Mash has been one of Glasgow and Scotlands biggest DJs for a long time, providing dancers up and down the country with fresh beats since the mid-90s. For this mix he throws down some of his favourite deep house jams from the likes of Loccussolus, Still Going, and MCDE for a bumping hour and-a-bit as heard on his weekly late-night marathon show on Capital FM. He's no stranger to the studio either, check his production chops with the re-release of his classic "Somebodys Property" track (inlcuding a remix from OOFT) exclusively on Beatport from today.

RJA32 : Daniel Solar

The man responsible for Dikso Recordings and plenty of top-notch mid-tempo productions drops a fine selection for Ruff Jamz.

Originally hailing from Hannover but now residing in Berlin, Daniel has been making music of various styles for over seven years. However it's only recently that he's found a new audience with his slew of funk-assed mid-tempo disco jams doing the damage across many a floor. Watch out for his new EP on Undertones and further material on Dikso as proof.
For the mix he ups the pace and delivers a floor-friendly mix of deep house and discofied edits. Braw.

Straight outta Poznan, Poland's finest Zambon skips across the genres just the way we like it from 80s pop to pitch down house and edits for the latest episode.

With his first production works coming out on the influential Bumrocks stable, there's plenty more in the tank from this Polish disco don and he's definitely one to watch for in 2011. The mix itself features plenty of work from him so check it out.

RJA28 : KRL

With his first full DJ mix the mysterious KRL steps up to the plate.

Having notched up a handful of releases on Wolf Music over the past two years, including the mighty Recession Beat, KRL has largely remained anonymous. This is his first mix to see the light of day, containing the the next single Machine Code plus two exclusives, as he ramps up on the DJ scene. RJA27 : Hotel Motel

Hotel Motel are checking in for the latest Ruff Jamz to coincide with their release on Home Taping Is Killing Music.

A joint collaboration between a certain Bill Brewster and Alex Tepper, the pair met 16 years ago when Bill signed one of Alex's first productions to a New York label he was running and continued over the years to plough the sonic fields for audio potatoes. According to their press release, some of their work is already being described as "like Salvador Dali with his pants down being fellated by Deirdre Barlow" ... a very fair and vivid comparison in our book.

FOTO-002

After a slight delay the second FOTO Recordings 12" is here. I'm really excited to release an EP from Liverpool's Andy Ash as he is one of the most underrated house producers out there. The A-side "Dance" is a loping Detroit inspired house number, whilst on the flip Andy get's all choppy on some 80's soul to create the banging pitch-down "Mason in my Basin".

She is a familiar face across the Capital and is regularly invited to play at other venues across the country. The mix itself features many faves including belters from Gwen McRae and Kenny Loggins plus a stone cold OOFT classic in BB&Q Band's Dreamer. Enjoy.
